3C0 - In a press release dated 21 September
Tony, EA5BY reported some bad news from the 3C0R team on Annobon:
"No operation on 6 meters and RTTY as the equipment got
damaged during the trip to Annobon and they couldn't repair
untill now". The good news is that they have "obtained
from the authorities the approval for future operations from
Annobon. Therefore, they will leave all the generators and gear
at the Base".
5X - Graham, G0VNW/5Z5GS will be moving to
Uganda in October for a two-year work assignment. He will operate
as 5X1GS (QSL via WB2YQH). [TNX The Daily DX]
9N - Sergio, IZ6BRN/AP2WAP has been in Nepal
since 20 September for five days. Look for 9N7RN on all bands, as
he has been allowed to operate also on 80 and 160 metres. QSL via

A3 - Klaus, DJ4SO and Manfred, DJ7RJ will be
active as A35SO and A35ZL from Fafa Island (OC-049), Tonga
between 27 September and 27 October. Plans are to operate on CW,
SSB, RTTY and PSK31 on all HF bands and 6 metres. QSL via home

CT - CR8A (QSL via CT1EEB), CR8ABE (QSL via
CT1ABE), CR8END (QSL via CT1END), CR8ERK (QSL via CT1ERK) and
CR8FMX (QSL via CT1FMX) are active from Portugal with the former
prefix for Portuguese Timor. All direct QSLs requests will be
paid out of the operators' own pockets, while IRCs and green
stamps will be converted in funds to help the Timorese in this

EI - Pam/ON4QP, Mat/ON5KL and Frank/ON4ACC
plan to be active from either Clare Island (EU-121) or the Aran
Islands (EU-006) on 1-3 October. They will also operate from
Ireland (EU-115), particularly from the lighthouses on the west

ER - Special event station ER8C will be
active on 1-10 October to celebrate the 564th anniversary of

GW - Glyn, GW0ANA confirms the GB5FI
operation from Flatholm Island (EU-124, WLH 0007) [425DXN 433]
has been rescheduled to 29 September-3 October. Plans are to be
active from all bands (160 metres-70 centimetres) and modes (CW,
SSB, FM, RTTY, AMTOR, PACKTOR, SSTV). QSL via GW0ANA. The web

I - Alberto, IK4HPU reports that the IIA
activity from La Guardiola (IIA SP-???) [425DXN 437] is now
scheduled to take place on 3 October.
JA - Takeshi, JI3DST reports the 23-25
September activity from Oki Archipelago (AS-041) [425DXN 435] has
been cancelled as the area is expected to be hit by a typhoon.
OD - Jean-Claude, 6W1QP plans to be active as
OD5/3A2MT from Lebanon between 27 September and 27 October.

OH0 - Martti, OH2BH has returned to Finland
after almost six years in Asia. He will participate in the SAC
SSB Contest (25-26 September) as OH0B from his re-built site on
the Aland Islands. QSL via OH2BH (Martti J. Laine,

OH0 - Look for OH0LQK (QSL via OH3LQK),
OH0MFP (QSL via OH3MFP), OH0KCB (QSL via OH3RM) and OH0/OH6LGM
(QSL via OH6LGM) to be active (on 6-40 metres CW, SSB and RTTY)
from the Aland Islands (EU-002) between 25 September and 2

TT - Max, I8NHJ and other three amateurs from
Italy (namely Luciano/IK8HBA, Giovanni/IK8TOA and YL operator
Elvira/IV3FSG) will be active as TT8xx (the call has been
requested) from Chad for two weeks in late November-early
December. The first week they will concentrate on the low bands
SSB, RTTY and 6 metres, while CW activity will start with Max
entering the CQ WW CW DX Contest (SOAB low power). They will have
a quad for 10, 15 and 20 metres, some verticals for 40-80 and
WARC bands, a dipole for 160 metres and a 5-element beam for 6

mission at Gore (where they will fix the station of TT8MS) and
will be touring other seven missions in order to set up radio
stations for local communications. If you can offer any help,

XW - Hiroo, JA2EZD is active as XW2A from
Laos until the end of the year. He also plans to operate from

new QSL manager for all of OX3LG's operations. He reports
there is no need to send second requests "as I will
