7Q - Allan, G0IAS reports that Harry, 7Q7HB
will be active from Malawi for some other eight weeks, while Les,
7Q7LA will be active from 14 January for about three months
(looking this time to give people the chance of QSOs on 30
metres). QSL for both stations via G0IAS direct only).
A4 - Marco, IV3NCC is active as A4/IV3NCC
from Oman for a couple of months. He hopes to operate soon on the
low bands. QSL via home call.
CE - Fernando, XQ5SM says he will not be part
of the CE6M team that is going to Mocha Island (SA-061) [425DXN
607]. The operation is now scheduled to take place on 15-20
January. The operators will work SSB (on +/- 28510, 24950, 21250,
18145, 14275, 7085, 7150, 3690 KHz) during the first four days
and will concentrate on CW on the 19-20th. Latest information

CX - The CV1F activity from San Gabriel
Island (SA-057) [425DXN 607] is now scheduled to take place on
10-15 January. The operators will be CX1CV, CX1ABC, CX1SI, CX2FR,
CX2AM, CX3CE, CX3AN, CX4CR, CX4AAE, CX4AAJ, CX8FB and LU2NI. They
will be active on 160-2 metres SSB, CW, PSK31 and RTTY if

FG - Jack, F6HMJ/TO2FG [425DXN 603] will be
active (on 20 metres SSB and CW) as TO2FG/p from Marie Galante
(NA-102, DIFO FG-008) for a few hours on 11 January, starting

KH9 - Chuck Brady, N4BQW is expected to
operate as N4BQW/KH9 from Wake Island (OC-053) on 15-25 January.

LU - Look for Robert, 3A2MY to be signing
LU/3A2MY on 16-23 January from Aconcagua, the highest peak (6959
metres asl) in the Andes. Robert will use a home made QRP
transceiver (5 watts) supplied by solar cells, and will operate
between 14280 and 14290 kHz. Special QSL via home call. [TNX

LU_ant - Dominik, DL5EBE reports that LU1ZG
from "General Belgrano II" base (WABA LU-08, IOTA
AN-016), LU1ZD from "San Martin" base (LU-11, AN-016)
and LU1ZV from "Esperanza" base (LU-06, AN-016) are
expected to be on 21365 kHz at 22 UTC as follows:
LU1ZG 15 January and 14 February
LU1ZD 24 January and 28 February
LU1ZV 28 January and 18 February
In the meanwhile, operator Jose is active as LU1ZA from
"Orcadas del Sur" base (WABA LU-14) on Laurie Island,
South Orkneys (AN-008); he is QRV almost daily between 22 and 23
UTC on 15 and 20 metres.
P2 - Bernhard, DL2GAC/P29VMS is currently
active as H44MS from Honiara (OC-047), Solomon Islands and on 13
January he will go to Papua New Guinea. On 18 January he will
leave Kavieng (New Ireland Province) on board of a fishing vessel
that is due to call at Nissan Island (OC-231), the Talun Islands
(OC-???), the Nuguria Islands (OC-???) and to return to Kavieng
at the end of January. Bernhard does not know how long the ship
will stop at each island, but he hopes to be able to operate for
1-2 days from some of these islands. These will be battery
powered and solar recharged operations, and IOTA chasers are

PJ - Lee Reisenweber, VP2VE will be active as
PJ5/K3RGD on all bands from St. Eustatius (NA-145) from 10
January to 10 February. QSL via WA2NHA. Skeds may be arranged

ST - Gerben, PA5NT will be active as ST2X
from Khartoum, Sudan on 20-28 January. He will operate on 40-10
metres mainly CW with some SSB, activity on 80 and 6 metres will

VK - Look for VK7KHZ/P to be active (on 10,

VP8_ant - Micky is currently QRV from VP8ROT,
"Rothera" base (WABA G-07) on Adelaide Island (AN-001),

XY - Hiroo, JA2EZD (XW2A) will be active as
XY1M from Myanmar on 14-29 January. He plans to concentrate on 6

DARC 10M CONTEST ---> The DARC HF

DUCIE ISLAND ---> In early March the
operators for the second Ducie operation will leave the
Gambier Islands (French Polynesia) via boat for Pitcairn
and then Ducie. Several more operators will be welcome,
particularly one who is CW competent. Some SSB and RTTY
experience will be helpful. Interested and experienced

with a brief outline of experience.
HR5/F2JD ---> Gerard, HR5/F2JD has
logged 5200+ QSO so far (he will be in Honduras until
early March) and hopes to put up an antenna for 160

K1BV DX AWARDS DIRECTORY ---> The
2003 Edition features hundreds of changes, especially
from the European countries that adopted the Euro as a

SM5BFJ reports that "the Swedish Post Office has

QSL LX/PA6Z ---> Bert, PA1KW reports
that the QSL cards for the September 2002 operation from
Luxembourg are going to be sent out in the next coming
weeks.

for R1ANC from Vostok base are via DL5EBE, while cards
for Alan's (UA1PAC) portable operations should be sent to
Alan V. Kuz'menko, P.O. Box 88, Amderma, 166744, Russia.
Alan is currently active as R1ANC/p from Lake Vostok
until 15 January; he also plans to be active as
KC4/UA1PAC from McMurdo base and as ZL3/UA1PAC from
Christchurch, New Zealand for a few days in late January.

QSL V63RE & V63WN ---> Bewteen
Christmas and the New Year Nando, IT9YRE was hospitalized
and had to undergo two operations. Nando is slowly
recovering and expects to leave the hospital very soon,
but he is still extremely weak. Gaetano, IT9GAI is
helping him with the QSL cards, and the two are doing
their best to send out the cards so that they reach their
destination in time for the IOTA Honour Roll annual
update.

manager for KH6XT (not KH6X as reported in 425DXN 610).
He apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.
