This week's bulletin was made possible with info provided by

CROZET ISLAND, FT. FT5WE was on last weekend
between 1400 and 1700z on 7005 kHz. Also check 30 meters. QSL via
F5GTW direct.
GALAPAGOS ISLANDS, HC8. JF1MGI, a doctor of
veterinary medicine, is involved in animal research through the
end of March. Hamming will be during non-work hours, though
behavior of operators calling in pile ups will determine whether
on-the-air animal research will be necessary. At bulletin time no
call sign info was available. Meanwhile, HC8/DL5XX has been on
7003 kHz at 0400z and 14025 kHz at 1251z.
SVALBARD, JW. Erik, SM0AGD, and John, SM0DJZ,
will be on the air March 14 to 18, mainly on 80, 40 and 30 meter
CW, though some RS-12, SSB and RTTY will be worked, including the
BARTG Contest. Listen for them signing JW/home calls. QSL via
1996 CBA's for home calls.
MARIANA ISLANDS, KH0. A business trip allows
Jun, JH4RHF, to operate as KH2S/KH0 until March 18. Check 80 and
40 meters from 1000 to 1600z. QSL via JH4RHF. Allen, KN6AH, will
sign KH0/KN6AH March 15 to 30. Check 40 and 15 meters as well as
20 meter nets. QSL direct only to KN6AH.
GUAM, KH2. JH6RTO will sign AH0AV/KH2 April
11 to 14, concentrating on 10 and 17 meters. He will be in the
JIDX Contest. QSL via JH6RTO.
GUINEA BISSAU, J5. The operation from Majo
Island, IOTA AF-020, by I4LCK and IK4SDY is slated for March 27
to April 6. Calls will be J56CK and J56DY, respectively. Besides
CW, SSB and some RTTY, they plan to be in the CQ WW WPX Contest
March 30 and 31. QSL via home calls.
SUDAN, ST. Claus, ex 9G1AP and 9N1AP, is
signing ST1AP as was heard on 14178 kHz at 2215z. Also check the
MAR net at 0745z on 14332 kHz.
GHANA, 9G. Joe, N1OCS, is in Navrongo until
March 24 on business. He hopes to be able to operate, though no
call sign or QSL route was available at bulletin time. Check for
Joe around 1819, 3525, 7025, 10105, 14025, 18025, 21025, 24895
and 28025 kHz on CW, and 1845, 3795, 7065, 14195, 18145, 21295,
24945 and 28495 kHz on SSB.
MADAGASCAR, 5R. Gerard, F2JD, has received
his license, 5R8EN. He will be in Madagascar until September. He
was on 21019 kHz at 0905z this past weekend. QSL via F6AJA.
TRINDADE ISLAND, PY0. Mendonca, PY1UP, will
be signing PY0TI until mid-June. He is active on all bands with
CW and SSB with a modest set up. QSL direct to PY1UP.
SOUTHERN COOK ISLANDS, ZK1. Bruce, AA8U,
Stanley, K8MJZ, and Marilyn, AG8W, plan to enter the IARU
Radiosport Contest in July as ZK1AAU from Rarotonga. Their stay
will be from July 11 to 20 and they will concentrate on 160 and
80 meters outside of contest hours as ZK1MJZ and ZK1AGW. QSL via
AA8U with SASE.
QSL BUREAU NEWS. The Pennsylvania DX
Association has assumed responsibilities of the Third Call Area
Incoming QSL Bureau. The new W3 Incoming Bureau address is c/o
the Pennsylvania DX Association, PO Box 100, York Haven PA
17370-0100. Envelopes and cards on file at the old W3 bureau will
be transferred to the new bureau staff.
THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO. The Bermuda
Contest, Russian DX Contest and the Virginia QSO Party should
provide plenty of radio activity this weekend. See page 97 in
