JAMAICA, 6Y. Look for Alan, G3XAQ, starting
December 3 as G3XAQ/6Y5. He will be QRV until December 12 with
activity on CW only on 160 through 10 meters. QSL via home call.
MALAWI, 7Q. Chris, W1EH, has been very active
on RTTY lately as 7Q7EH. Check around 14085 or 21085 kHz between
1600 and 1000z. QSL via AA9HD.
KUWAIT, 9K. A DX group from the Kuwait
Amateur Radio Society is organizing a trip to the Kuwaiti island
of Faylaka, IOTA AS 118. They will be QRV from December 18
through December 27 as 9K2F. QSL via Hamad J. Al Nusif, PO Box
29174 13152, Safat Kuwait.
UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, A6. In celebration of
the United Arab Emirates 25th National Day, Mohamed, A61AM, will
be using the special call A625ND. He expects to be active for 12
days starting 0900z on December 2. QSL via KA5TQF.
ERITRIA, E3. Jin, JF1IST, is leaving for
Eritria on business. He already received operating permits for
both amateur radio and business. He hopes to be active on most HF
bands. Some satellite activity is also planned. QSL via JH1AJT.
LIECHTENSTEIN, HB0. Seiji, JA1QGT, will be
active as HB0/HB9LEY from December 14 through 15. Operations will
be on all bands including the newer bands, with activity on CW
and SSB. QSL via JH1BSE.
ANTARCTICA. Nikolai, UA3YH, is active from
here until February 5. QSL UA3YH/KC4 via RW3XA. When operating as
KC4AAA, QSL via NC6J.
NORWAY, LA. The Norwegian Home Guard
celebrates its 50th anniversary starting on December 6, and will
operate as LA1V for three days. They will be QRV from Oslo on all
bands and modes. QSL via LA4LN, PO Box 15, Kjelsas, N 0411, Oslo,
Norway.
MT. ATHOS, SV/A. Monk Apollo, SV2ASP/A, has
been active over the past week. He will try to work as many
stations as possible this winter season. Amateurs can also expect
some 160 meter activity.
NAMIBIA, V5. Gary, ex C53HG, is now QRV for
the next 4 years on a work assignment with USAID. He is currently
signing V5/WA1JBB on 15 Meter SSB while his V51 callsign is being
processed. QSL via W3HCW.
MICRONESIA, V6. Sung Ki Lee, HL1IWD, will be
active as V63CT from Pohnpei Island, IOTA OC 010, from December 5
through 16. He will work for an eye specialist during his stay.
SSB activity can be found on 3795, 7060, 14260, and 21260 kHz.
Amateurs can also expect some CW activity. QSL via Sung Ki Lee,

THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO. The ARRL 160 Meter
Contest and the TOPS Activity 3.5 MHz CW Contest are scheduled
