TRISTAN DA CUNHA, ZD9. Ian, ZD9IL, is active
most days. He has been spotted on 12 and 10 meters. QSL via
ZS5BBO, Edwin Musto, Box 211032, Bluff 4036, South Africa.
CHAD, TT. Jim, TT8JWM, and John, TT8JFC, are
now QRV on RTTY. Jim will go QRT on November 8, but will be QRV
again December 10 . QSL TT8JWM via N4RXL.
GREENLAND, OX. Kim, OX3FV, has been very
active on 160 meters and the newer bands on CW. QSL via the
bureau or direct to Kim Andersen, Box 3, DK 3930 Groennedal,
Greenland. Joergen, OZ8AE, will be active as OX/OZ8AE until
December 1. QSLs for OX/OZ8AE go to OZ8AE direct or via bureau.
UNITED NATIONS, 4U. Club station 4U1ITU, ITU
Headquarters in Geneva, will operate as 4U1WRC until November 21
in celebration of the 1997 World Radio Conference (WRC-97). This
station will count for ITU HQ for DXCC.
TROMELIN, FR/T. Henri, FR5ZQ/J, has been
spotted on 20 and 10 meters.
MALI, TZ. Larry, TZ6VV, will be active for
about the next 6 weeks. QSL via AA0GL.
ZAMBIA, 9J. Ely, IN3VZE, will be active as
9J2CE until November 10. QSL via home call.
UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, A6. David, K3LP, will
be joined by Rich, KE3Q in Dubai from November 22 to December 2.
QSL for this operation only to K3LP (ex AA6DC).
OMAN, A4. David and Rich plan to be active
here from December 2 through 5.
GUINEA BISSAU, J5. Dave, J52IM has been found
on 15 meters. QSL via KB9XN.
JORDAN, JY. George, JY9QJ has been heard on
24909 kHz around 1520z. QSL via DL5MBY.
GUAM, KH2. Bill, NH6D, has moved to Guam and
will be active on all bands as NH2/NH6D. QSL NH2/NH6D via N6FF.
THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO. The Worked All
Europe Contest, RTTY, the Japan International DX Contest, phone,
and the OK/OM DX Contest round out this weekend's activities.
