VIETNAM, 3W. Coly, 3W2FM has been QRV on 40
meters CW around 1130z. QSL via UA0FM.
BHUTAN, A5. Ray, G3NOM is QRV as A52OM. His
length of stay is unknown. He has been active on 20 and 15 meters
using CW and SSB around 1300 to 1430z. QSL to home call.
PAKISTAN, AP. Sam, AP2ZA is usually QRV on 20
meters SSB daily around 0230z. QSL via VE3XAP.
ANTARCTICA. UA6CW is active as CE9/R3RRC from
the multinational base Patriot Hills, IOTA AN-016. QSL via RW3GW.
GUADELOUPE, FG. Pierre, F6FXS is active on
all bands using CW and SSB as FG/F6FXS until February 7. QSL to
home call.
HUNGARY, HA. Special event station HG80ST is
active on all bands using CW, SSB and RTTY until February 28 to
celebrate the 80th anniversary of the town of Salgotarjan. QSL
via HA6KNB.
SVALBARD, JW. LA5QFA and LA8AJA are QRV on
160 to 6 meters using CW, SSB and possibly RTTY from the JW5E
clubhouse in Longyearbyen, IOTA EU-026, until January 20. They
are using the JW4X callsign on 6 meters, and JW5QFA and JW8AJA on
HF. Their 6 meter beacon is on 50080 kHz. QSL JW4X and JW5QFA via
LA6EIA and JW8AJA via LA8AJA.
SOUTH ORKNEY ISLANDS. Claudio, LU1ZA has been
QRV on 15 meters CW around 1600z.
BRAZIL, PY. Special event callsign ZX2F is
being used until February 12 during a Amateur Radio public
demonstration and during the Big Fig Festival held annually in
Valinhos. Activity is on all bands and modes to celebrate the
event and also to introduce the local people to the ham radio
hobby. QSL via PY2AE.
SAO TOME AND PRINCIPE, S9. Henryk, S92JHF has
been QRV on 20 meters CW just before 2200z. He has also been QRV
on 30 meters CW around 0200z. QSL via SM0JHF.
NAMIBIA, V5. Klaus, V5/DJ4SO is QRV from a
farm near Windhoek until February 6. His activity includes CW and
RTTY, with a little SSB, on all bands, including 6 meters. QSL to
home call.
MICRONESIA, V6. Tony, K2NV is QRV as V63RF
from Pohnpei, IOTA OC-010, until January 22. He is using mostly
CW with some SSB and RTTY. QSL to home call.
TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS, VP5. John, G4RCG,
Ray, VK4BRC and Bruce, KI7VR will be QRV as VP5/homecalls from
North Caicos, IOTA NA-002, from January 20 to February 2.
Activity is on 160 to 10 meters. QSL to home calls.
LAOS, XW. Hiroo, XW0X has been QRV on 40
meters CW just after 2100z. QSL via XW2A.
SYRIA, YK. Fadel, YK1AH is usually QRV on 40
meters CW around 0200z.
THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO. The 070 Club PSK
Contest, ARRL January VHF Sweepstakes, LZ Open Contest, Hungarian
CW Contest, North American Phone QSO Party and the MI-QRP CW
Sprint will certainly keep contesters busy this weekend. Please
