Society, Northern Ohio DX Association, Ohio/Penn PacketCluster
Network, WB2RAJ/WB2YQH & The 59(9) DXReport, W3UR & The
Daily DX, K5IDX, NT5C, K8RF, WA8JOC, K9FD, EA3KU, F6AJA, G3OZF,
G3VMW, G4BUE & DX News Sheet, HJ3PXA, JA1ELY, LU2BRG, SP3LFV,
TG9IKE, VK4AAR and ZP5AZL for the following DX information.
5A, LIBYA. Remember that the
RRDXA German group should be active this weekend (November 23rd
through December 4th) as 5A7A. Activity will included the CQWW CW
Contest as a Multi/Single entry from the 5A1A station. QSL via
DL3KDV.
9G, GHANA (Update). The
DXpedition to 9G by G3VMW, G4RWD and G4ZVJ has been reported to
be on schedule and to begin on November 21st and last through
December 2nd. Their operation will include a Multi-Single entry
in the CQWW CW Contest as 9G5VJ. Outside the contest they will
concentrate on 160, 80 meters and the WARC bands using their own
personal callsigns (9G5SW/G3VMW, 9G5WD/G4RWD & 9G5VJ/G4ZVJ).
Please QSL via their home calls. For further details of the
operation, see the following web site: http://www.bramham.demon.co.uk.
The DXpedition logs will be available on-line from the web site
after the operation is completed.
9M2, PANGKOR ISLAND (West Malaysia).
Don, G3OZF, will be operating as 9M2/G3OZF from AS-072, Pulau
Pangkor, from November 24th to December 2nd. Activity will be
from 80-10 meters (possibly 160, but unlikely), with the emphasis
on CW, but some SSB on 40/20/15/10 meters. He will be in CQWW CW
Contest for the weekend of November 29-30th. QSL to home call.
AH2, GUAM. Look for JF1SQC,
JK3GAD, JR7OMD and others to paticipate in the CQWW CW Contest as
AH2R and as a Multi/Single entry. QSL via JI3ERV.
BY, CHINA. Harold, W0RI, and
Merv, K9FD, are in the process of planning a trip in either
December or January to BY1QH. They report the BY club is in need
of an amplifier, and they have purchased one to "hand
carry" over. The main purpose of the trip is to put BY on
the low bands, 160/80/40 meters for a full week. They are
currently asking for any donations to help defray the cost of the
amplifier. They state anything at all helps out and any donations
over $5 will be returned if for some reason the trip is
cancelled. The rest of the donations will go into the
QSL/postage/equipment fund for BY1QH. All the operators at BY1QH
are students with very limited funds; actually nothing for ham
radio. This is why they are trying to help out. Also, they hope
that they can put BY in as many low band logs as possible. If
conditions are poor, they will be on the high bands as much as
possible. If you would like to help, donations can be mailed to
W0RI: Harold P. Smith, 742 Henry Ave, Manchester, MO 63011
CF5, CANADA. Members of the
Weyburn ARC located in Saskatchewan are allowed to use the CF5
prefix instead of VE5 from December 22nd through January 5th to
celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Army Cadet
Corps of Weyburn. A commemorative certificate is available by
working three CF5 stations. QSL via VE5RMO or E-mail log to: hjwhiteoak@sk.sympatico.ca

requests past, present and future for A61AJ should go
DIRECT to Bernie McClenny, W3UR (Editor of The Daily DX),
3025 Hobbs Road, Glenwood, Maryland 21738, USA. Please
include SASE, IRC, or Greenstamp. QSLs should not go to

Ken, WA8JOC/CY0AA, has put all the direct OH0/K8MN QSLs
in the mail. This also includes a "few"
miscellaneous A22, and OH2 cards. The majority of the
cards were from Dave's 1997 trip in September. For those
that included SASEs/IRCs, the response will be direct;
all others were via the bureau. The bureau cards will be
sent out to the bureau within the next few weeks.
Duplicate QSLs will not be issued for QSOs received via
the bureau and returned direct earlier. Please remember
that Ken states that he only process bureau cards twice
annually. Direct cards ARE processed more frequently.
If you were lucky to work the special callsign 5J2X from
La Guajira, Colombia. QSL via HK3DDD. Guajira, (mostly
desert area) is situated in the northeast part of the
country. The Zone 2 region of Colombia is also good for
the 10 Zone "ZHK" Diploma.
QSL INFO CHANGED. Alan, VK4AAR, reports to OPDX that QSLs

send the cards to (VK4AAR or VK1AUS). Any cards received
by Simon, VK1ACS, will be shipped to Alan (but Simon will
still be handling VK0TS contacts). The Macquarie logs
won't be available until late December, so please be
